First, people have been living in this region since the Paleolithic era, and archaeologists have found tools and artifacts from the prehistoric periods. After that, in the 9th century, this land was controlled by the Great Moravian Empire, and it lasted for two centuries. During this time, Christianity became the main religion in this land. Then, in the 11th century, once again Slovakia was ruled by the Kingdom of Hungary, and it lasted for almost a thousand years. Finally, in 1993, this country gained independence, and since then this nation has seen tremendous economic expansion and development, earning a reputation for its robust economy and automobile sector.

This Gothic church is one of the most iconic buildings in the city. And if you want to dive more into the ancient times, you have to visit Bratislava Castle; it also offers a panoramic and breathtaking view of the city.
