Welcome to Germany

Germany is a country situated in Central Europe; this region is formally referred to as the Federal Republic of Germany (Bundesrepublik Deutschland). It is bordered by France, Luxembourg, Belgium, the Netherlands, Austria, Denmark, Poland, and the Czech Republic. Germany has been through many different phases, starting from the ancient times when it was inhabited by various Germanic tribes, then being occupied by the Roman Empire, and after that by the Frankish Empire. The first time this country was united was in 1871, by Otto von Bismarck, who formed the German Empire. Even though it had crucial roles in both World Wars, this land was split into two parts: East Germany and West Germany, and then the Berlin Wall was constructed, emphasizing the division. Yearning for the day to break free from the constraints ultimately, Germans demolished the Berlin Wall in 1989, and on October 3, 1990, Germany finally unified, as this date currently is celebrated as German Unity Day. Now with one of the biggest economies in the world, Germany is a major supplier of household appliances, automobiles, machinery, and chemicals. Renowned for its engineering skills, it is home to significant corporations such as BMW, Siemens, and Volkswagen.

Berlin is the capital, most beloved, and largest city in Germany and has been the capital of this country since 1871. It is also the hub of history, culture, and natural beauty, and it offers a plethora of amazing views and attractions, such as the East Side Gallery. This gallery is dedicated to the Berlin Wall and is adorned in murals painted by international artists, celebrating the unification. Then, Berlin TV Tower is a rotating restaurant that provides a 360-degree panoramic view of Berlin and those memories that are made here are a treasure trove. After that, you should visit Tiergarten; this place is the biggest and most well-known inner-city park in Berlin, ideal for a leisurely stroll or a picnic. While having the best time of your life, you cannot afford to miss out on trying these German cuisines, including Schnitzel (Bread with fried meat), Pretzel (a type of baked bread, twisted into a knot shape), Spatzle (soft egg noodle or dumpling), Black Forest Cake (the famous German cake, which is layers of chocolate sponge cake), and Red Berry Pudding (a mixture of red berries with vanilla sauce or cream).
