However, it was in 969 CE that this city was officially established, then developed into a bustling city and became the center of Egyptian culture and history. For example, the Egyptian Museum is one of the most magnificent spots because you can immerse yourself in ancient times and see all the artifacts and remains from the past. You should also visit Cairo Tower, where you can have an amazing view of the whole city. Also, if you are more interested in diving into the culture, then you have to go to Khan el-Khalili Bazaar; this market is in the heart of Islamic Cairo, and it is a perfect place for buying souvenirs and traditional crafts. While staying there, you can enjoy these delicious Egyptian cuisines, such as Koshari (a mix of pasta, rice, and lentils) and Ful Medames (stewed fava beans).
