Welcome to Armenia

Armenia, also known as the Republic of Armenia, is located in Asia and is in close proximity to Russia, Iran, and Turkey, and because of that Russian language comes right after the Armenian language spoken in Armenia. It was founded on 23, Sep 1991. Due to the literature, architecture, history, and art, Armenian culture has been enriched tremendously and steals the eyes of many travelers around the world! When one travels to Armenia cannot help but look at all of those historical places that have dominated every corner, such as Goshavank Monastery, Haghartsin Monastery, Echmiadzin Cathedral also referred to as the Vatican of Armenia, and Zvartnots Temple Ruins. In fact, each of them tells a story that reflects the historical events and the culture.

The capital city of Armenia is Yerevan, which is also one of the main tourist attractions and the largest city in the country. Yerevan is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world and also one of the most populated cities in Armenia with more than 1 million people, just over 35% of Armenia’s total population. It is worth mentioning that Holy Etchmiadzin is the first state church, which was built in 4th century and it is one of the most visited pilgrimage sites in the entire world. Not only that, but also Yerevan is also called “the pink city” and the reason behind it is that most of the buildings are built with volcanic rock, which has a rosy hue. Therefore, the city appears pink and some of the places that you cannot miss out on in Yerevan are Republic Square, Cafesjian Center for the Arts, Charents Museum of Literature and Arts, and Vernissage Market. Due to its beautiful weather, delicious food, ancient sights, rich culture, and history Armenia is the perfect place for a getaway for your next travel destination!
